1. Overview
VisaForge ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at visaforge.online (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, the UK Data Protection Act 2018, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable data protection legislation.
2. Information We Collect
Data you provide directly: When you use the VisaForge Visa Finder tool, you may input income figures, nationality, and work status. This information is processed entirely client-side and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Automatically collected data: We collect standard web analytics data including IP addresses (anonymised), browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and time spent on pages through first-party analytics tools. This data is aggregated and not used to identify individual users.
Contact form data: If you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your enquiry. This data is retained for no longer than 90 days following resolution of the enquiry.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use essential cookies required for the functionality of the website. We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies without your explicit consent. We may use first-party analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
If Google AdSense advertisements are displayed on the Service, Google may place and read cookies on your browser to serve interest-based advertising. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Respond to enquiries and provide user support
- Monitor usage patterns to improve content and tool performance
- Comply with legal obligations
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activity
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use user data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing personal data are: (a) Legitimate interests — operating and improving the Service, and preventing fraud; (b) Consent — for non-essential cookies and any direct marketing, where applicable; (c) Contract performance — responding to contact form submissions.
6. Data Retention
We retain analytics data in anonymised, aggregated form indefinitely for service improvement purposes. Contact form data is retained for 90 days following resolution of the enquiry, unless longer retention is required by law. Tool input data (income, nationality, work status) is never retained on our servers.
7. Your Data Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@visaforge.online. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information).
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit, secure server infrastructure hosted on Vercel (SOC 2 Type II certified), and access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service contains links to official government, embassy, and third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
